Aluminum Straight Mutes
All of our aluminum mutes are hand-made using hand-spun aluminum. Unlike machine-spun aluminum, the hand spinning process creates a higher density aluminum that is extra responsive and provides the Denis Wick straight mutes with their signature sound. The purposefully designed shape creates perfect intonation and helps increase projection. All of this is held in the instrument by using the finest all natural cork that is soft to the touch but durable enough to last for years.
Copper Bottom Mutes
All of our aluminum mutes are hand-made using hand-spun aluminum. Unlike machine-spun aluminum the hand spinning process creates a higher density aluminum that is extra responsive and maintains excellent intonation. The all copper bottom creates a warmer tone color for the aluminum mute, that still has the power to project.
Pianissimo Mute
Made from high purity spun aluminum, these handmade mutes blend perfectly, provide unmatched brilliance and projection, and have excellent intonation. Denis Wick offers the most comprehensive line of straight mutes available. The pianissimo mute creates a warmer atmospheric straight mute sound that will not project with the same edge as a standard aluminium straight mute.
